LOOK IT’S GODZILLA!!! Ruuun!! Okay, stop with the suspense. It’s 2017, and I still haven’t watched the film yet. I keep hearing mixed reviews about the movie. After watching the trailer, I really like the suspense and all, but I don’t see the monster. That’s the point of watching Godzilla. I want to see more of the monster in the film. The monster only appears a small glimpse in last part the trailer. Before I buy the movie, I hope to see more of the beautiful cute monster in the movie.

I am not familiar with Egyptian mythology, but maybe this movie can teach me some Egyptian history. All I can say, spectacular special effect. Really wanted to see this movie in theater, but I didn’t have the chance to watch it. I am a big fan of epic battle with lots of special effects that take place in ancient time. Gerard Butler seems to suit playing as an ancient warrior. Imagine making a similar film, but taking place in other parts of the world such as China or Mayan Gods. That would be interesting.

Never knew Kong can do some amazing martial art & break dance. There are so many King Kong movies. Are the film industries running out of ideas?
The film did way better than my expectation. I did not expect the film to do well, but now is number one for the weekend box office. I was just wondering, why Kong treats the women so well? Hmm. I don’t get the message from that. Can anyone give me your thoughts on that? Anyways, good job Kong! Teach me some of your dance moves.

From the trailer, I had a feeling it was going to be a movie about people discriminating base on skin color. I predicted that Get Out will not be well rated by the critics and the viewers because the trailer did not successfully convinced me that it will be a great movie. The impression I got from Get Out trailer was a man who developed psychological problem after being introduced to his girlfriend’s parents. The main character started seeing supernatural beings and nobody can see it except him. I can see the horror element, but not the comedy aspect of the film.
Well, I was wrong.
Surprisingly, people who watched Get Out loved the film. According to Fandango, the movie rating is 4.5/5 stars. Also, a score of 99% on TOMATOMETER. Base on the rating and great comments, my prediction is proved wrong. Now, I am convinced to watch Get Out.

R-Rated: I remember watching ‘Pulp Fiction’ as a kid. Even though I was underage (I was 9 years old at that time). Not a big fan of the movie because of the heavy drug scenes and sometimes people looks like they are sweating and bloody. Well I don’t know. It just me, I like to be clean. It was fun looking back at the young John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson performing in this film. They were really funny, especially the conversation they have with each other and the others.
Overall, I thought the film was great besides the violent scene. The dialogue was epic. That’s for sure.

Another Harry Potterfilm!! Oops, sorry. I meant to say another amazing film from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
As a Harry Potter fan, this movie was not disappointing. Great movie accompanied by an amazing trailer. After watching the film, I thought the movie did a great job with the characters instead of recycling the characters from the original story of Harry Potter series. I am glad that the film gave something fresh instead of relying on the original Harry Potter series, in which, the movie did a great job with. Fantastic Beasts did a great job in fulfilling my Harry Potter movies void feeling.
I would definitely recommend this movie for those Harry Potter fans out there. Let’s continue the magic!!
Another brief movie review. It has been over a decade since I watched 'Hellboy'. When I first saw the title of the film, I thought it was going to be a horror movie. The beginning was terrifying because I was raised at a Catholic school and anything related to hell, devil or demons haunted me every night. In fact as I continued watching, it was not scary after all.
Ron Perlman is perfect as Hellboy. His sense of humor and executing one-liners with ease, battling monsters through underground sets and city streets, and giving a comedic performance as well as a very emotional one that makes you just love the Hellboy character. Also, a great performance considering the heavy makeup he had to wear. (Covering his entire body in red costume.) Despite Hellboy being of demonic heritage, Hellboy's character has nothing to do with the devil, but of a superhero. What a misleading name do you think?
I have never read 'Hellboy' comic book, but Hellboy seems to have no problem when he encounters obstacles. That could be due to his carefree personality which he sees the bright side of trouble. Another interesting fact I realize is Hellboy's aging process. How awesome would it be to age so well like Hellboy?, if humans can live for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
Overall, I had fun watching 'Hellboy'. Even though the movie was not as popular as the other superhero movies, Hellboy stood out because of his comedic personality, which I don't think other superheroes can match.

Time for a trailer review. That’s some scary trailer. I can’t wait to see what the movie is about. By the time this post is published, the movie should already out.
So, I haven’t even heard about this movie until I saw on Fandango that it is one of the new movie release. After watching the trailer, I am still debating whether this movie is worth watching.
Along with many negative things about the movie, such as the astronauts are extremely emotional and unprofessional, lack of basic knowledge, and many who have the title of “Dr.” do not represent the general Phd people. However, its music, tension and rhythm are what have gotten my attention, but I am still not convinced to watch the movie at a movie theater.
In conclusion, I would give this movie a chance when the hard copies come out. I believe Life is best for sci-fi fans and I am sure they will love it. I doubt it will be love by the general audience.
I remember watching thing over a decade ago during a Christmas holiday. I can't believe this movie was made wayyy before I was born. Haha. It has been a while and I don't remember much about the film. Let me try my best to describe my reaction. Alright, here it goes:
I enjoyed this prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, but not quite as much. It's not as action packed, but there still some impressive action sequences, most of the action happens in the last part of the film. There's much more tension throughout than in Raiders. Also, there are more comic bits in this one, which is great because the overall tone of the movie is pretty dark, dealing with mysticism and superstition. The story development of the film is more developed in comparison to its prequel.
Indiana Jones gets two sidekicks in this one, a young Asian boy and a Nightclub singer, which provided comedy touch to the film. If you did not like the film, at least you will enjoy seeing the young and buff Harrison Ford.

It feels like a remake of the original series, except this time for kids, not a meaningful continuation that picks up where the originals left off. Although I did start having my doubts about my future satisfaction with the Star Wars franchise when Disney owns the production.
There was no flashback within the movie as to what happened from previous episodes and how they got to where they are now, making this movie a whole new plot with new characters. This direction may appeal for some, but for those of us who were expecting more will find ourselves disappointed. In this version of Star Wars, the characters desperately running away from things and having meaningless conversation instead of exploring the depths of some of the most intriguing Jedi stories. However, this fact is not surprising as the masses seem to be entertained predominantly by action, comedy and explosions, not exploring the psychological aspect within the human soul, and definitely not sitting through scenes of dialogue which could give us a deeper understanding of the Star Wars mystery. I suppose in this regard it is targeting Disney audiences.
**Spoiler Alert**
One part in particular impacted me greatly was the death of Han Solo. I was like NOO!!!!. HAN SOLO got killed by his son. The death of Han Solo had me thinking for days and talking about it. I felt like having one of the original Star Wars characters being killed was shocking. Just wondering, will the new characters reach the importance as the other original characters?
The Force Awakens was not bad at all, but it felt empty, in need of more character development, more older characters and complexity; an example in one of the previous episodes, the death scene where Master Yoda said his last words before he spiritually disappeared, and to not have felt like another teenage romance during an adult war. I hope the next episode will have a more complex and serious plot with the appearance of Luke Skywalker. Will we see Han Solo?

This whole trailer looks amazing, but I am still not excited to see it in theater. I watched the animated version of the movie and I did not enjoy it. Hopefully the live-action movie follows closely with the story line of the original movie.
I remember when I was taking a Japanese history class at a university, and the professor played us ‘Ghost In The Shell’. I have never watched the animated movie prior to the class, but I was looking forward to it. For some reason, I had a hard time following what was happening in the movie. Maybe because I was young and naive who did not understand the deeper meaning of the plot, but somehow I managed to watch the entire movie without falling asleep. The reason why I did not enjoy the original film because I am not a big fan of virtual reality movie. Could it be because the main character is played by a female? Maybe it has to do with gender, I don’t know. That was my past. Now, I am wiser. So, that’s good.
On the other hand, there has been controversy in regard to the cast of ‘Ghost In The Shell’. The lead role is played by Scarlett Johansson instead of a Japanese actress in a story that has an important role in Japanese culture and history. The decision of putting non-Japanese actors as the leading role in stories that were made in Japan sounds like a slap in the face within the Asian community. From Hollywood perspective, they want to choose actors who are popular enough to help the film sell because of their name. Is race involve in the decision? I don’t know. That’s my opinion.
If Hollywood cast an Asian actress as the lead role in ‘Ghost In The Shell’, will the general audience watch the film for the unknown Asian actress? Are there any Asian actress as popular as Scarlett Johansson?
I will most likely not watch ‘Ghost In The Shell’ in theater. Unless, someone wants to watch it with me. Haha.

When I first saw the trailer, I never knew that this movie will be about X-Men. “Logan”, I was wondering all along who is Logan. The Logan trailer had me confused and I thought the little girl was named Logan. I had to watch the trailer several times in order to understand what is the movie about. Never knew Logan is the name of Wolverine. At first, I thought this movie will less likely do well. However, after seeing different Logan trailers, I feel like this film will do really well in the ratings and audience will really like it. Definitely looking forward to watch this film.
In conclusion, Logan will not do well as the other Wolverine films. The reason it will be good is because no one can replace Hugh Jackman as a Wolverine. Okay, hope you guys love the film.

A new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Talesfeaturette released today appears to confirm a fan theory about the swashbuckling franchise.
In the video below (via Gizmodo), actor Brenton Thwaites' character, Henry, is given a last name--Turner. We've known for a while now that Orlando Bloom's Will Turner will be in the movie, but we haven't actually seen him yet. But at 1:03 in the video below, we learn that Henry Turner may in fact be the child that Will Turner has with Keira Knightly's character, Elizabeth.
The new Dead Men Tell No Tales trailer also provides a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the film and the main players--behind the camera and in front.
In addition to Johnny Depp, Bloom, and Thwaites, Dead Men Tell No Tales features Geoffrey Rush, David Wenham, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally, and Golshifteh Farahani. The movie, which is directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, opens in theaters on May 26.

Another Transformers movies. Wow, it's already number 5.
The full trailer fifth Transformers movie, Transformers: The Last Knight, looks awesome, and looks like it may do well in theaters and ratings, as well as becoming the number one movie of the summer?. Not! Well, good luck going against Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Movie industries are relying on CGI to bring cool explosions and special effects into their movies. So, they can fulfill the cool movie criteria of box office hit.
Looks like there is another battle in Transformers: The Last Knight, where Optimus Prime becomes evil and kills Bumblebee. (Nooo..) Am I high or what?! Optimus Prime is on the dark side? That's what I saw in the trailer. What do you guys think?
We are going to see Mark Wahlberg return to the Transformers after Age of Extinction. And, a new face Isabela Moner starring alongside with Mark. I believe Isabela is put in this film to attract younger female audiences. I heard from someone that most films are popular if it can successfully attract lots of teenagers. They can't control their desire and want to satisfy their pleasure with instant gratification which they are still not wise enough to control. Or maybe, to help expand Isabela's popularity with the help of Mark Wahlberg's fame.

I have not watched the first movie of Guardians of the Galaxy; so, forgive my ignorance for judging the film. After a few minutes research from around the World Wide Web, this movie has received lot's of great reviews and comments.
This is one of the most unique movie because many of these unknown characters are united for a common cause, to save the galaxy. Ok, does that sound familiar? Guess not. Judging from the trailer, the movie characters are super upbeat in comparison to many of the superhero movies out there. (You guys know what I mean... Ok.. maybe not) But, that's true from my perspective. There are some comedic elements in other films, but not as good as this movie. I don't know, I am over analyzing.
After reading comments and reviews on the first GotG, I was surprised that many people who watched the movie loved it. Let's be blunt here, I never thought the first GotG will do so well in the box office and ratings. I am not the best person to ask about movies, but honestly though, people love green screens. Okay, I going off-topic here. So, let me finish this blog with this question. Can it rival other Marvel films?

Honestly, I was surprised that this film won Best Picture. Prior to the award, I never heard of the movie. But this "movie" was given 97 on Rottentomatoes. It was 7+ on IMDb, and won an Oscar for Best Picture. Why wasn't this movie as hyped as the others?
There were no special effects at all, like the majority of the popular films. From the look of this trailer, looks like a movie with lots of meaningful conversation which most of the audiences may get bored easily and want to find out the mystery as soon as possible. In fact most films that are popular consist of comedy, explosion and romance which this film may lack and that does not mean is a terrible movie.
It looks like it will be a very slow movie that focuses on the development of the characters. The movie will not be mainstream because of its in-depth conversation between characters which leads to a deeper meaning about the life these characters are going through.
'Moonlight' seems like a film that targets audience who are looking to further educate themselves about lives from another perspectives. A life about people who grew up in a particular neighborhood where the general population are rarely exposed to or learned about. Well, that's my guess from the trailer and my experiences from watching movies. Since, I have watched many drama films in the past. Usually I watched films like 'Moonlight' on my own or in a classroom.

Finally, a live action Justice League. I am definitely looking forward to watch this movie.
So the trailer, one thing I can say is, why is it dark and cloudy? Looks like the film was recorded during the cloudy season.
There are so many reasons I'm pumped as hell for this movie. Ben Affleck continues to be a funny Batman. I am addicted to the way Batman talks. You guys get me, that serial killer voice. I like flash's costume. I look forward more of flash, my second favorite superhero because I can relate to his life. Aquaman is finally getting some lines with Batman. He appeared on Batman v Superman movie a few years ago, but only for a slight second. Also, Cyborg looks cool with all the CGI and finally getting making an appearance in the live action world. I am sure there will be more surprises from Wonder Woman because I was surprise how powerful she is on Batman v Superman film.
Overall, the trailer looks good. I hope the plot of the movie is decent and not abuse the attractiveness of CGI. This is definitely one of the films I look forward to watching in 2017.

Not a big fan of musical film because I often fall asleep before halfway of the movie. No offence to ‘La La Land’ and its fans, but I am not looking forward to watch this film. I’ve read IMDB positive comments and hoping to be convinced to not overlook the movie. I am just not hype about it. Can it rival ‘West Side Story’? That’s the musical film I really enjoy.
The trailer of the film was simplistic and to be honest, I was not excited. The film was popular maybe because of two leads Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were put as the lead of the movie. The film director was relying on these actors to boost the film review and make some money from them.
I don’t get why are the ratings so high for ‘La La Land’. A 8.4/10 on IMDB, 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4/5 stars. What am I missing out? Before I waste my money on this movie, can someone please convince me on why I should watch ‘La La Land’?

When I first heard of Doctor Strange, I thought it will not do well in the box office. However, after watching the movie, the movie was a lot better than I expected. I never heard of Doctor Strange before the movie came out. When I first saw Doctor Strange‘s trailer, I predicted that the film will not receive a well rating among different movie reviews website. I don’t believe the film will do well because of its heavy use of CGI throughout the film. I felt that it may only appeal to younger audience. However, I was wrong.
Now, I am starting to become a fan of the character. The main character Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stranger did a great job playing the character. I really like the character development throughout the film. Definitely would recommend this film to Marvel fans.
GO GO POWER RANGERS!!! I really like how the trailer gets me all excited about the movie. There are lots of CGI and special effects that makes the film visually pleasing, in which, the classical Power Rangers films lacked. Where is the white ranger? When I was a younger, white ranger was my favorite. I don’t know why.
In my opinion, I believe the film will do really well among the teenage audience. However, I don’t think it will be well rated in the box office. The first time I saw this trailer, I thought this Power Rangers film won’t do well in the box office. Oh well, we will have to see. Can’t judge a movie by its trailer.
Time to relive my childhood role models. Haha.

What an awesome trailer. Looks like a sad movie. It would be my biggest nightmare to wake up by a magnitude 9 earthquake. The trailer made me worry about the people who have to go through the disaster and trying to survive. I got goosebumps just for watching the trailer and I still have not watched the movie yet. Imagine everything around you is destroyed and you have no where to go to protect yourself. I really hope everyone have a safe day.

Finally a real life version of the movie is coming out. After over 20 years the release of the cartoon version, it has finally become life. Not a big fan of Disney movies, but the trailer looks amazing. I am surprised many people who watched the film really enjoyed the movie. Last time I checked, it is #1 movie in the world.

It felt like a century since I watched Avatar. Time to Movie Talk about a classical film or modern film. Whatever you guys want to call it. Avatar is a story of an ex-Marine who finds himself on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he must fight for his own survival and that of the aliens. I did not watched the movie in theaters, but watched it on Blu-Ray. I thought Avatar was an amazing film because of the heavily use CGI and special effects. Also, it was an amazing Sci-Fi experience that brought me to a whole other planet. "You are not in Kansas anymore, you are in Pandora".

It’s a bird. No. It’s a plane. No. It’s Batman! I felt like there was such a huge hype for this movie. The two most well known superheroes in DC comics finally meet. It has been a few years since I watched this film. The movie was not great, but it was good. As a big fan of Superman, I would say that Batman seem the coolest in the movie. Especially when he prepares his new armor and gadgets against Superman.
Now it's time to rewrite the history of China's Great Wall. This movie looks like an ancient Chinese version of District 9. A war that is worth fighting against some monsters that I never heard of. Haha. Oh well. I really enjoy the visual effect, but I am still questioning about the overall plot of the movie. I believe that it will be a good film due to special effects and actions that the movie will bring. However, I believe the film may have a slight chance on being one of the best in 2017. Got to watch The Great Wall to find out.

Heard great news about the movie. Honestly, I never thought about watching Moana because some of my colleagues thought the film was too childish. I don't know why, but, it cracks me up whenever Dwayne Johnson is in a Disney film. I really like the positive vibe that the movie gives me.
